Alpha Dogs Kickoff 2017

On Saturday January 7, 2017, FIRST Robotics held the annual kickoff. The Alpha Dogs held their kickoff at Humberview Secondary School, along with 5519, LASS Robotics and Mr.Avery, a former Alpha Dog who now helps mentor team 5428, Breaking Bots. The day began with the unveiling of the game and the release of the game manual, which the teams thoroughly studied before starting to analyze the game field, the points distribution, and the dimensions of the robot. After the analysis was completed, the teams discussed robot designs and game strategies that could be viable, and then rounded off the day with pizza lunch. Everyone who came got involved and made the day a huge success.
