The Alpha Dogs Win Durham District Event

On the weekend of Friday, March 5th, The Alpha Dogs competed at the first ever district event in Ontario, at Durham College.  Though they struggled through matches at the end of the day on Saturday, they came back strong on Sunday and joined the second seeded alliance. Allied with Team 4939, Allspark9, and captained by Team 1285, The Big Bang (both also Peel teams!), The Alpha Dogs won their quarter-final match-up in two straight matches, the semi-final match-up in three matches, and the came back from a one game loss in the finals to win the event. The Alpha Dogs also won the Excellence in Engineering award for their innovative hopper agitator design.  The team will be taking a two week break from competitions as they prepare to compete at the Georgian College Event on March 24-March 26.
